Ian Galloway is an international author and Director of Copernican Revolutions. He is a consultant to Texas Instruments Education,
T3 Europe STEM lead and a former Teaching and Learning Coach for the Institute of Physics. Ian is an expert in physics and mathematics education from 11 to 19 years old including teacher training and as a member of the international group T³ (Teachers Teaching with Technology) he is also expert on using handheld technology for teaching physics.
Formerly Ian has served as National Chair of the Association for Science Education (ASE), Education Director for Bloodhound SSC and is a former Director of the Science Learning Centre South East. He has been head of three science departments in three different countries, has worked in both state and private sectors and has run the Science PGCE programme for the University of Southampton.
A graduate of King’s London (BSc, AKC) Cambridge (PGCE) and Southampton (MAEd) Ian is also a member of the Institute of Physics (CPhys, MInstP), ASE (CSci Teach) and is a Chartered Scientist through the Science Council. Holder of three national awards for the teaching of physics and a former member of the Science and Technology Facilities Council Advisory Panel for Science in Society.
